A Vision for the Public Services Network

The Public Services Network (PSN) will create, from the existing commercial networks, a ‘network of networks’ for the Public Sector, and will develop a marketplace providing opportunities for the communications industry, and savings for the Public Sector.

The PSN will revolutionise the way Government Departments and Agencies, Local Authorities and the Third Sector buy and use Voice and Data Networks. Through creating an open marketplace governed by interoperability standards it will drive efficiency savings, set a range of technical and service standards, and improve the effectiveness of services. This will lead to an open, collaborative working environment for all UK Public Sector employees.
