Howard Inns
Howard’s role as Marketing Manager, Public Sector is to determine sales and marketing strategy, particularly with regard to building managed communications solutions that contribute to improved service delivery within public sector organisations.
This not only involves understanding the public sector marketplace, its customers and the issues that drive their needs, but ensuring that Kcom is equipped to meet those needs.
As well as being an obsessive runner, Howard has a lifelong interest in reptiles and is Vice Chair of Trustees for the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust the UK’s lead organisation is this field, for whom he speaks and writes regularly.
Tim Kitchener
Tim Kitchener is Customer Experience Manager at Kcom, responsible for articulating how Kcom’s propositions can help customers satisfy a need or achieve an objective. Tim is passionate about putting the customer first and is constantly challenging propositions or technologies by asking ‘So what – what does that mean for our customers?’
When not at work, Tim is a keen ½ marathon runner and although a family man with little time to train, he enjoys the peace and tranquillity of pounding the towpaths along the River Lea.
Hannah Priddy
Hannah Priddy has been working with Kcom for over 10 years, and is responsible for managing strategic partnerships across Kcom. Prior to Kcom, Hannah worked at Milgo Solutions and Racal-Datacom as the Procurement Manager, and has a diploma in Purchasing and Supply with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
Hannah’s love outside of work is sports and in particular skiing, and is a qualified ski instructor.
Sean Maloney
Sean is Sector Manager for the Enterprise North Sales Team, having joined Kcom in October 2008. His sales career spans over 27 years and has taken sales and sales management roles at Companies such as EMC, VERITAS, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Symantec.
He is passionate about sales excellence and professionalism and has devised and delivered training courses on all aspects of sales and sales management.
Outside of work, Sean loves cricket, football and walking his dog and his favourite TV programmes are Sky Sports and University Challenge, but unfortunately he is not as quick on the draw as some of the students…!
Brian Condron
Brian is a Business Development Manager and has responsibility positioning Kcom in a more consultative manner in the way that they engage with their customers. Brian provides leadership and vision and gives customers and partners great confidence in how Kcom can both identify and address their business challenges.
Outside of work Brian leads an active life with his family as well as the odd physical challenge. Recent activities include completing the Three Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours and running the London Marathon in under 4 hours. Brian also regularly attends Upton Park to follow the trails and tribulations of West Ham.
Paul Dewar
Paul is Head of Market Development at Kcom and has over 17 years experience working in the IT and Telecommunications industries. He manages a team of marketeers who are responsible for ensuring Kcom has a thorough understanding of the opportunities and challenges Kcoms customers currently face, and who work closely with Kcoms technology and proposition development teams, to develop and launch propositions and packages to address these.
In his spare time Paul is a keen amateur photographer, aviation enthusiast (though not a plane spotter!) and motorsport fan.
Barry Cutts
Barry Cutts is an independent writer who has been working in the ICT field for nearly ten years and sharing his insights with Kcom for nearly three. He specialises in communicating complex technology propositions in an easy-to-understand way; looking at trends and interpreting how business can maximise the opportunities they present, through technology.
His clear and lucid approach helps business users appreciate the application of technology to established process and practice. Occasionally irreverent, always entertaining, and never less than illuminating, his writing skills and observations have helped connect people all over the world.
Andy Wood
Andy has been at Kcom for 19 years, during which time has held a variety of roles. Prior to Kcom he spent six years at GPT Telecommunications (now Siemens).
At Kcom, Andy is responsible for financial performance, strategy, general operational efficiency and best practice. His expertise is wide ranging and Andy provides thought leadership, vision and direction for the consultancy part of the business. Part of Andy’s role is to keep pace with industry direction and trends as well as new technologies and help drive innovation across the leadership practices and with customers.
Ian Hill
Ian Hill is Service Provider Security Consultant for Internet & Hosting Services here at Kcom.
Ian Hill has over 20 years of Information Security experience and has written a book, journal articles and spoken at international conferences on network security. Having developed security related software products, he founded a successful hosting company, Drakken Ltd, and as Technical Director was responsible for the design of highly secure environments and web applications for customers including Nokia, Spicers and the Stock Exchange.
Having sold Drakken to Mistral Internet in 2003, he joined KCOM when Mistral itself was acquired in 2007, and is now responsible for the security of the service provider infrastructure spread across the group’s countrywide data centres.
In the photo Ian is playing with Slingshot at Donnington in 2003! All he remembers of it was that the PA system was so loud he couldn’t hear his own drums (his ears were ringing for weeks!) and the back of his head got burnt from the heat of the light banks behind him!
Stu Smith
Stu Smith is the principle specialist for Unified Communications and Collaboration at Kcom, responsible as a technical lead across all of these propositions. Career wise, Stu actually unpacked and installed the first IP phones to arrive in the country and has continued specialising in this field ever since. Whilst traditionally technical, Stu’s interest is now focussed in the very tangible benefits that this technology can deliver.
In his spare time, Stu’s love is travelling and has travelled, amongst other places, most of Europe, Canada, the USA coast to coast and much of Australia.
Claire Holmes
Claire Holmes is Marketing Communications Manager at Kcom and has worked for the company for over 5 years. Claire is responsible for generating leads for the Channel Partner team through offline and online marketing and events.
When not at work, Claire enjoys meals out (she loves food), making jewellery and generally catching up with friends and family.
Chris Leonida
Chris Leonida is Corporate Marketing Executive at Kcom and is responsible for supporting the team in creating brand awareness for Kcom. Chris has worked for Kcom for just over one year and has past experience from working in the events industry.
In his spare time, Chris likes to relax by the sea and participates in Surfing and Canoeing. Chris also has a keen interest in old Volkswagens and has owned a number of them over the years.
Jennifer Ward
Jen Ward works within the marketing team, ensuring that customer communications around our new solutions are delivered effectively and that all customers have an understanding of benefits that Kcom can deliver. Having worked for Kcom for the past three years, Jen has a wide understanding of the challenges faced by the different sectors Kcom serves and enjoys keeping organisations up to date on our developments.
Outside of work Jen enjoys walking, films, good food and on a weekend can often be found working her little grey cells at her local pub quiz!
Mark Pritchard
Mark Pritchard is Business Development Director at Kcom where his main responsibility is to drive vision and growth for the Contact Centre business. Mark was an original founder and CTO of JAM IP Limited, which was sold to KCOM Group PLC in 2006 and formed the foundation of the larger Contact centre practice that exists today. Prior to JAM IP Limited, Mark was at ERA Technology for 10 years where as Sales Director, he set up and built the Contact Centre business. Mark has a Masters degree in Electronics and over 15 years experience delivering profit to organisations through the application of innovative technology.
Lesley Bowkett
Lesley Bowkett is Senior Partner Manager for Kcom Channel Partners and has been a “Partner Champion” at Kcom Partners for the last 6 years. Lesley’s’ goal is that her independent Reseller Partners choose Kcom as their Partner supplier of choice.
In a 32 year career in Sales & Sales Management in Communications, her ongoing success is a passionate reflection of the customer service she believes is mandatory – delivering on promises, unafraid to handle difficult situations, keeping customers informed… Whilst considering herself to be a generalist, Lesley’s areas of expertise range from bespoke Managed Server Hosted solutions to hosted Voice solutions, to high order bandwidth and Internet services.
