Its one thing managing your time and workload, most of us cope just fine even with the usual distractions. But how do you manage us Homeworkers when you can’t actually see us? Are we doing what we say we are? Does it matter as long as the work is done?
I find it tricky to leave work when I don’t actually ‘leave’ anywhere. It’s hard to replicate that euphoric feeling of vacating the cubicle or the office block at the end of day and knowing that from then on the time is yours. Walking from the spare room to the kitchen just doesn’t quite do it…
I am a homeworker. I’m often told I’m living the work-life balance dream. But I, and those close to me, are not yet convinced. So over the coming weeks I am going to share some of my musings about my home-office cocooned life, and let you draw your own conclusions…
