Charity of the Year 2006
During the 2006/07 financial year, the KCOM Group supported CLIC Sargent as its chosen Charity of the Year.
CLIC Sargent supports children with leukaemia and cancer in childhood, and their families. The charity provides clinical, psychosocial, emotional and financial services in hospital, at home and in the community across the UK, as well as being a strong voice on a national and local level.
The KCOM Group and its employees raised over £30,000 for CLIC Sargent in 2006/07 through activities that included a Group-wide football tournament, a charity fun week, raffles held throughout the year and employee participation in a number of physical challenges such as the London Marathon and the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk.
