Health, safety and wellbeing

At the KCOM Group we have a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy, which ensures that we have a proactive management framework for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees.

To support the Policy we have a team of health and safety professionals who form part of the overall Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team. These individuals work across the Group and provide expert support and guidance to ensure that employees at all levels understand their responsibilities and that effective health and safety management is embedded throughout the business.

The Company's Board of Directors has ultimate responsibility for health & safety across the Group. The Board of Directors will ensure that health & safety is fully considered where relevant to Board decisions. The Board have delegated operational responsibility for health and safety to the Chief Financial Officer however they retain overall accountability.

Our accident statistics for 07/08 can be seen below. All reportable accidents were ‘over 3 day injuries’ rather than ‘major injuries’. Whilst we have seen a percentage increase, the actual number of incidents still remains low.
