Kcom, part of the KCOM Group, is celebrating becoming one of the first organisations in the country certified to deliver BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System – the first organisation outside of North America to successfully deliver the innovative communications solution.
BlackBerry MVS unifies fixed and mobile voice communications, providing all office phone features through a BlackBerry® smartphone, including one business phone number, caller ID and voice mail box. With BlackBerry® devices linked directly into an organisation’s voice infrastructure via the PBX it enables direct cost savings and increased employee productivity.
Kcom’s Cisco accreditations in Managed Services and Call Manager have been key to the deployment of successful BlackBerry MVS rollouts. This additional expertise has enabled a successful rollout of BlackBerry MVS to a large, complex health organisation, the first deployment of its kind in the UK. They now have the ability to seamlessly take calls throughout the hospital via a number of different methods including WiFi and via their existing LAN infrastructure, allowing them to significantly reduce the cost of mobile calls.
Andy Wood, Head of Communications and Collaboration at Kcom says: “We are extremely proud to be the first to bring the benefits of BlackBerry MVS to UK organisations. Kcom strive to provide new and innovative technologies that provide tangible business benefits and BlackBerry MVS is a key example of the forward thinking we apply to solving customer issues.”
