Take part in our Easter Egg Hunt around Trinity Market

Families are set for an exciting time this Easter as Hull’s new Trinity Market hosts an egg hunt.

The market, which has recently undergone a £3m refurbishment, will host the egg hunt from Monday, March 26, to Saturday, March 31.

Every child who takes part and collects the hidden letters hidden around the market stalls to create an Easter phrase, will receive a free chocolate egg.

The eggs can be collected from Debbie’s Sweet Cabin after successfully completing the trail.

Plus, anyone who tweets a picture of themselves on social media at the historic – and newly restored - K1 telephone box in Trinity Market, at the end of the trail, will be put into a prize draw to win a £50 hamper of luxury chocolate from Cocoa artisan chocolatiers, on Humber Street.

Hull Old Town Project officer Lucy Lines, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting a chocolate egg hunt here at Trinity Market throughout the Easter holidays.

“Every youngster who takes part will receive a free chocolate egg and it will be a great way of exploring our fabulous new market, getting some exercise and winning some Easter goodies at the same time.”

Hull’s oldest undercover market has undergone a major refurbishment in the past year with many new stalls such as funky street food experts Shoot The Bull, Falafia Falafel and Cone Queen pizza cones arriving to make it a must-try lunch time destination.

The Edwardian market has also applied for an entertainment and alcohol licence to enable it to hold many more events including exhibition and live music concerts in the future.

The egg hunt has been sponsored by KCOM which has recently had one of its original K1 phone boxes dating from the 1920s reinstated in Trinity Market.

The cream phone box, one of only five still in existence, marks the start of KCOM phone box trail which is an ideal way to explore Hull’s historic city centre and entertain the kids for an hour or two during the Easter holidays.

To be in with a chance of winning the £50 chocolate hamper tweet or post a picture to Instagram @KCOMhome using the hashtag #trinityeaster
