How to Change Your Wi-Fi Name and Password on Zyxel XMG 3927 Router

  1. Connect a device to your Zyxel XMG 3927 router using an Ethernet cable (recommended) or via Wi-Fi.

  2. Open a web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, then press Enter or Go.

  3. You should now see the Zyxel login screen. We’ll explain where to find your login details in the next step.

  4. To log into your router, use the username and password found on the card provided with your router. This card is usually located in a slot on the back of the device.

    Enter the username and login password, then click Login.
     

    Password not working?

    If the password doesn't work, you'll need to factory reset your router. Insert a pin into the 'Reset' hole on the back of the router for 10 seconds. Once the router restarts, try logging in again from Step 1.

  5. After logging in, you will see the Home screen, which gives an overview of your router's status. To access more settings, select the three black lines at the top right corner to open the Menu.

  6. Select Network Setting and then choose Wireless.

  7. In the Wi-Fi Network Settings section, locate Wi-Fi Network Name. Delete the existing name and enter a new name for your wireless network.

  8. Scroll down to the Password section. Untick Generate password automatically to set your own password.
    Enter a new password that's at least 8 characters long in the Password box, then click Apply.

  9. Your wireless network name and password have now been changed. Remember to reconnect all your wireless devices using the new details.
