      We ask some questions to access if there might be a need for an engineer pre-visit.
    • 2. Prepare your home

      Plan your ONT and router location, ensuring access to two plug sockets or an extension cable.
    • 3. Install day

      Our engineer visits on the day, installs fibre cables, sets up your router, and connects your device.

      • Does full fibre actually make a difference?

        Yes, full fibre has been designed to cope with high levels of uploads and downloads, meaning that you can say goodbye to buffering movies, webpages that take ages to load, and your connection dropping when someone else in the household goes online. It's much faster than standard broadband, and more reliable.


      • How will I know when the switch is complete?

        You’ll receive confirmation from KCOM and your old provider once the switch has been arranged, including details of your go live date.


      • Will I lose internet access during the switch?

        No, your service should continue without disruption. The switch is designed to be seamless, so you stay connected throughout the process.


      • Do I need to contact my current provider?

        No - with One Touch Switch, KCOM will take care of the entire process. There’s no need to call or cancel anything with your current broadband provider.

        Pricing

        *Discount will be applied to your bill each month for the minimum 24-month contract period. Free connection on Power Fibre 100, 500 and 900. Our standard published prices will apply thereafter, see kcom.com/pricing.

        In March each year, your price will increase to the prices shown above according to the package you purchase from us. We may also increase charges at any other time; if we do you will be able to cancel your agreement during the 30-day period after we announce the change and you won’t have to pay any early termination fees. If you have an active offer or discount on your package at the time of the increase, the value of the offer or discount will remain the same and will continue to be deducted from the new standard price until your offer or discount expires. The prices shown are in-contract prices. After your contract term ends, an out-of-contract charge will be applied to your bill. Please see the Price Manual for full details. After the expiry of any offer or discount, your monthly price will be our current standard price at that time for that package. All other charges, including bolt-ons, are unchanged.
