How do I change my router admin login details on a Zyxel VMG 8924 or 8324 router?

Changing the router admin login details on your Zyxel VMG 8924 or 8324 router is easy and helps keep your router secure.

How do I change my password?

1. Connect a device to your Zyxel router using an Ethernet cable (recommended) or Wi-Fi.
   
   
    
2. Open a new web browser and type 192.168.1.1 into your address bar and press enter or go
   
   
    
3. You now need to login with your username and password. The username will be admin and the password will be either be 1234, or the password you set previously.
   
   Now select Login.

4. Select Maintenance at the bottom of the page and then select User Account.
   
   
    
5. You'll see one or more user accounts. Look for the username admin, follow this to the right hand side and select the paper and pencil icon.
   
   
    
6. You can now change the admin login details. Type in the old password which would be 1234 or the password you set previously. Type in the new password that you want to change the password to, then type it in again in the verify new password box. Once finished, select OK.
    

    Something to note

   Your new password must contain at least 1 letter, 1 number and must be at least 6 characters long.
