Making your number Ex-Directory

Written by KCOM Support on 15/04/2025. Posted in Phone.

We offer the Ex-directory service free of charge to all our customers. When you register your number as Ex-directory, this prevents your number from being provided to anybody that calls our Directory enquiries.

However, if you give your number to any other companies or organisations, we can't guarantee that they won't share your number with others.

Please be aware that all telephone numbers we provide are recycled, so depending on how recently your new number was in service, you may receive calls for the previous user of that number. This doesn't mean your Ex-directory status has been breached, it just means that people are trying to reach the previous user.

Registering for Ex-directory

If you're already a KCOM customer and you want to be Ex-directory, you can register any time by submitting a Jotform on our website through this link https://www.kcom.com/home/contact-us/, or by calling our Customer Services team on 01482 602555.

Once registered, you'll be removed from Directory Enquiries meaning if someone calls to ask for your number, it won't be given out.

We no longer provide white pages but we still provide the ex-directory service.

If you're a new customer to KCOM, we can register your number as Ex-directory whilst setting up your service. This means from the moment your service starts, your number will be Ex-directory.
