Introduction of Dark Fibre 01/08/22
Following publication of the Hull Area Wholesale Fixed Telecoms Market Review 2021-26 in October 2021, KCOM was required to develop and provide a Dark Fibre service in the Hull Area.
The Dark Fibre service is available from 1 August 2022 and provides installation and maintenance of a fibre optic cable end to end between two addresses in the Hull area. The Reference Offer for Dark Fibre and associated documents are available through the links opposite.

Following the Wholesale Fixed Telecoms Market Review publication in October 2021, KCOM was required to modify its WFLLA offering by providing an option for an access seeker to locate its equipment anywhere in the Hull Area.
We are now amending this Reference Offer for Wholesale FibreLine Local Access to widen the options for location of CP equipment when accessing the KCOM Hull Area broadband network. CPs will be able to choose whether to co-locate in KCOM Exchanges or remotely at another location in the Hull Area. KCOM has also developed an Ancillary Services Agreement to support the provision of Wholesale FibreLine Local Access in KCOM Exchanges. From 1 May 2022, the revised Reference Offer for Wholesale FibreLine Local Access is available through the links opposite.

On 11 March 2022 KCOM published a new Reference Offer for the Ancillary Services.
We are now amending this Reference Offer to allow for its use as a connectivity option for services provided pursuant to the Reference Offer for Wholesale FibreLine Local Access. From 1 May 2022, the Reference Offer for Accommodation Services will be withdrawn and WFLLA connectivity within KCOM Exchanges will be provided pursuant to the Reference Offer for Ancillary Services.
