2019 is shaping up to be a great year for film and television. We’ve rounded up our ten favourite trailers for new releases coming up in the next few months.

 

Us

Jordan Peele, the brilliant mind behind Get Out, is back with another psychological thriller that’s not for the fainthearted. Us follows the Wilson family on what starts out as a summer vacation and ends up a haunting fight for survival against their greatest threat – themselves.

 

Toy Story 4

Woody, Buzz and co are back in the fourth installment of the Toy Story series, with the trailer dropping just last week. Join the gang as they embark on a road trip that turns into an unexpected reunion, as Woody's slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep.

 

Ma

We’re only three months into the year, but we’re already spoilt for choice when it comes to the horror genre. Ma, a lonely, middle-aged woman, befriends a group of teenagers and decides to let them party at her house. But just when the kids think their luck can’t get any better, things start happening that make them question the intentions of their host.

 

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Controversial director Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film is set in 1969 Los Angeles and follows a former Western star and his longtime stunt double, who are struggling to find success in a Hollywood that they no longer recognise.

 

Stranger Things Season 3

It’s time to return to Hawkins, Indiana, where the kids are growing up and the dangers are still looming. Join Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Max and Dustin as they embark on another series of nostalgic and monstrous adventures.

 

Good Omens

Based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s best-selling novel of the same name, the much-anticipated TV adaptation of Good Omens is finally here! This exciting fantasy drama follows the adventures of an angel and a demon, who have to join forces to find a way to save the world as the end of days grows near.

 

Aladdin

Disney are powering through the live-action remakes of their old classics, and Aladdin is the next tale to be retold. Join the eponymous “street rat” as he embarks on a thrilling, magical and hilarious adventure after finding a lamp that releases a wisecracking genie, played by the awesome Will Smith.

 

Deadwood

Originally a popular TV series, new movie Deadwood is set in a mining town that was not part of any U.S. state or territory in the post-Civil War years. The place has a tendency to attract people looking to get rich after a huge gold strike, as well as those planning on making the most of the lack of organised law in the town.

 

Our Planet

Loveable historian David Attenborough is back with another fascinating documentary series that focuses on our planet’s natural beauty, and how the threat of climate change will impact all living creatures.

 

The Twilight Zone

Another offering from Jordan Peele, this revival of the classic anthology sci-fi series is set to feature a similar style to the original, with each episode telling a tale rooted in horror or suspense.
