Goals count twice for KCOM kits at next Tigers match

2

It will be double the fun when Hull City take on Derby County this Saturday

Not only is the club offering half price entry to see the Tigers take on the Rams at the KCOM Stadium on 26 October, but every goal City score will count twice for the KCOM Kits scheme.

The scheme, which will donate a full Umbro kit to a local youth team every time the Tigers score at home, has proved a huge hit with the public.

Each kit is made up of 15 outfield shirts, socks, shorts and one goalkeeper kit.

Brendon Smurthwaite, KCOM’s community coordinator, said: “KCOM Kits has really struck a chord with people since we launched it in partnership with Hull City at the start of the season.

“Now we’re hoping the Tigers will have their shooting boots on for their next home match so we can really build up that kitty full of brand new Umbro strips.

“Nearly 500 local youth teams across Hull and East Yorkshire have already applied to be in the draw for a new kit, which will be made at the end of the current season.

“Last year, City scored 37 league goals at the KCOM Stadium so, if that’s any kind of guide, we’re hoping dozens of youth teams will be able to benefit from our kits initiative this season.

“It’s free to enter and applications are still open, so if you haven’t already put your team’s name in the hat now’s the time to get involved.”

So far, the Tigers have netted 11 times at home in the league putting 11 full Umbro team kits in the kitty.

Members of the KCOM team will also be giving away goodies at the stadium on Saturday while an interactive quiz machine will give supporters a chance to win headphones and a signed City shirt.

Hull City will host Derby County at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday, 26 October (KO 3pm) and match tickets in all areas of the ground are available to everybody for half the normal price.

It means that an adult can watch the game for £13.50, while junior ticket prices start at just £4.50.

Half-price tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online (until 11.59pm on Friday, 25 October), in person from Tiger Leisure at the KCOM Stadium. They can also be purchased from self-service kiosks and by calling 01482 358418 (until 5pm on Friday, 25 October). Juniors under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
