  1. Endless Wordplay

This vibrant, beautifully-animated app turns grasping the basics of spelling and phonics into a fun and entertaining game. With the help of Alphabot and the endless monsters, your little one can quickly master phonograms and spelling patterns, whilst having a blast at the same time. Nowadays, computer programming skills are a must for young children, with many of them starting to be taught the fundamentals in the classroom. Hopscotch is inspired by the popular Scratch programme and allows your child to create and publish their own games and play them in a safe, moderated environment. The innovative app is free for Apple users.

Launching very soon, this Hull-based startup aims to promote English and maths skills outside the classroom with their handy online learning platform. Bite-sized KS1 and KS2 video lessons can be viewed and referred back to, followed by an interactive exercise. In the meantime, your child’s progress is tracked and analysed. Perfect if you have SATs coming up.
