A new age for smart heating
International firm Ideal Boilers has joined the smart heating game by partnering with C4DI members Sauce, coming together to invent an application that works seamlessly with their products.
Together, they have created Ideal Touch Connect, a programmable room thermostat with a wide range of exciting capabilities, including advanced scheduling, fault reporting, internal and external temperature monitoring, and customer service support.
This project has assisted the app development company’s growth tremendously, enabling the talented team to expand from three to fifteen in the last year. Sauce and Ideal are still working on developing the application, with updates to be revealed in the near future.
Changing the way we live, work and play
Young C4DI member Hayden Barton made the papers recently after his success in building the world's smallest Arduino – a piece of hardware that has the ability to interact and control a wide range of everyday electronic objects.
Entirely self-taught, the talented entrepreneur designs, builds and programmes each of his products all by himself. Hayden became a part of C4DI after attending the bi-monthly Hardware Meetup, where beginners and experts assemble to work on projects and share their knowledge. Since then, he has collaborated with several other members, including Moodbeam, Sauce and Smart City.
A strong partnership with Australia
C4DI corporate member Trident recently announced that it has acquired DGC Sydney Australia, after working with the company as Strategic Partner for over four years within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry.

A better future for buildings, cities and spaces
Co-working C4DI members Ian Yeo, Scott Pilgrim and Stephen Dam have joined forces to combine their expertise in property, digital innovation and construction to facilitate a new tech-driven approach to property development and management.
The aim of PROPIT is to transform the UK’s property development industry, increasing building lifecycle efficiencies and investment transparencies. The trio plans to team up with other members of the C4DI community to create a smart platform that is able to manage and maintain buildings in a way befitting the 21st century.
