Our favourite releases hitting the shelves

For all you avid gamers out there, these are our favourite releases hitting the shelves now and in the next few months.

We Happy Few: They Came From Below

The first piece of downloadable content (DLC) for adventure game We Happy Few adds plenty of new content and features to the base game, as well as a brand new story and visually stunning locations.

They Came From Below introduces several new enemies and weapons, with a final boss fight unlike any other. Released last week, this DLC is part of a set of three new story missions, two of which are yet to be given an official release date.

If you already own the Season Pass for We Happy Few, the DLCs will become available for you to play as they are released. If not, you can choose to purchase them as a trio or individually, provided you own the base game.

Our World Is Ended

A new masterpiece of narrative visual storytelling, Our World is Ended follows the progress of Judgement 7, a team of young developers working on a brand new game engine called the W.O.R.L.D program. But when the game’s director tries it out for the first time, he catches a glimpse of an unsettling and unfamiliar cityscape. Could this be a glitch, or is there more to their creation than meets the eye?

With Our World Is Ended, players are able to explore a faithful recreation of Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s most iconic districts, combined with stunning visuals and character designs drawn in a distinctive and vibrant art style.

Our World Is Ended is available for pre-order now, with a release date of 18th April.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood

A brand new spin-off of the popular Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is an upcoming first-person shooter planned for release on most gaming platforms in July 2019.

Set in the 1980s, two decades after the events of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, playable characters Jess and Soph Blazkowicz must travel to Paris to locate their missing father. Players can choose to complete the game with another player or with an artificial intelligence substitute, and unlike the reboot games, missions can be completed in a non-linear order.

Borderlands 3

The fourth installment of the popular Borderlands series has finally been announced and is set to land in stores on 13th September.

Like the three games before it, Borderlands 3 is a loot-driven first-person shooter, where players can choose from one of four character classes and take on various fun missions and roam the worlds of Pandora to reap rewards such as money, guns and skins.

It can be played as a single-player game or with local or multiplayer co-operative modes, meaning you can team up with friends to undertake missions. Meanwhile, the recently released trailers indicate the return of many lovable and popular characters from previous Borderlands games, including the spin-off Tales from the Borderlands.
