Flight of the Conchords
Quirky New Zealand comedy duo Bret and Jemaine got back together for the first time since 2009, taking flight once again at a recorded comeback gig in London. This special is rammed with hilarious new songs, including a steamy tribute to Ian from Accounting, as well as old classics such as Bowie, Business Time and Foux du Fafa.
Friday the 13th
The 80s was undoubtedly the best era when it comes to producing memorable horror films, and Friday the 13th is one of the greatest. The film tells the story of a group of teenagers who are murdered one by one by an unknown killer while attempting to re-open an abandoned summer camp known as Camp Crystal.
The box office success of the film led to a long series of sequels, most of which are also available to stream on Now TV – a fitting way for you to end October.
The Walking Dead
Andrew Lincoln returns for his last season as deputy sheriff Rick Grimes in the latest offering of zombie classic The Walking Dead. In a post-apocalyptic world, the undead are the least of the survivors’ problems, as they are forced to deal with the aftermath of the war in which twisted villain Negan unleashes hell.
Now things heat up again as Rick and his crew prepare to face a new enemy – a mysterious group of survivors known as The Whisperers. All previous eight seasons of the show are also available to watch, so you can catch up whenever you feel like it.
Black Panther
2018 has been a great year for superhero fans, and one of the most successful Marvel releases ever is finally available on the streaming service. Chadwick Boseman stars as African king turned indestructible catsuit-wearing superhero T’Challa, known to the world as the Black Panther.
T’Challa’s secretive homeland of Wakanda is overflowing with revolutionary tech, such as the incredible metal vibranium, and now there’s a duo of new villains out to get their hands on the shiny stuff, including crazed one-armed weapons dealer Ulysses Klaue and mysterious mercenary Erik Killmonger.
Expect an outstanding soundtrack and some iconic superhero fights as this brand new epic unfolds.
Halloween
Horror icon Michael Myers has made his return to the big screen this month with a new Halloween flick, so now is the perfect time to rewatch the original slasher to refresh your memory.
Released in 1978 and directed by the legendary John Carpenter (who also produced the unforgettable soundtrack), this awesome movie starts Jamie Lee Curtis in her debut role, and tells the story of Michael as he stalks and kills several unfortunate teenage babysitters on Halloween night.
