An eero router is required to be able to setup parental controls. If you do not have an eero, please reach out to us at contact us so we can discuss.

Once you have set your eero router up, we can begin setting up your parental controls. If you are yet to set up your eero, please follow this guide to help you, Your eero setup guide

Firstly, you need to add a new "Profile". To do this, click the "Add Profile" button located on the home screen of the eero app.

It may be easier to remember what preferences you have set for this profile by giving it a specific name. This is one of the first options presented to you.

Now, you must select which devices you wish to be controlled by this profiles settings. You can select as many as you would like, but please note, they must be connected to your network.

You will then reach the profiles screen. Under the "Parental Controls" section, there are three options:

Explicit content filters:

This section is your blanket filter levels, this range from "Pre-School, 0-5 years" all the way up to "Adult". Each Filter has a description to show what is blocked and what is allowed.

Block apps:

The block apps section allows you to manually block specific apps, for example Discord or Roblox.

Block & allow sites:

Finally, this section will allow you to input specific websites which you would like to block or allow, on top of any explicit content filters.

You have now created a profile and applied the parental controls required. If you wanted to, you are able to create numerous profiles with different filters and set these to different devices on your network or edit your existing profiles.
