What are the KCOM broadband and email settings?

All of the settings you need to get online or receive your KCOM emails are listed in this article. Please note that there are no instructions included with these settings, they're listed for reference only.
KCOM Lightstream settings
These are the settings your router needs to get a connection over Lightstream. If your router is provided by us, you won't need these - it'll set itself up automatically.

KCOM broadband settings
These are the settings your router needs in order to get a broadband connection. If your router is provided by us, you won't need these - it'll set itself up automatically.

Default gateway
If your router asks you to set an IP address for the Default gateway, this is the IP address of your router. For example, the default IP address for Zyxel routers is 192.168.1.1. In most cases, you would set the Default gateway to the same IP address but you can set it to something different to change what IP address the router is located on.
DNS Specifics if required for manual setup
You only need these details if your router requires you to setup DNS manually, or if you want to type them in yourself.

Please note, when setting up an email client on a mobile, tablet or PC, you must be connected to the KCOM network.

The KCOM outgoing server (SMTP) does not use authentication.
Free FTP webspace settings
We still provide 50MB basic webspace for free with your broadband service although it's no longer supported. It uses basic HTML and is not suitable for scripting. If you wish to use it, the settings are listed below. To view your webspace, just go to http://KCOMusername.karoo.net
