How do I switch to Paperless Billing?

To find out how to switch to paperless billing, please click this link for a quick guide.

What is Paperless Billing?

Paperless Billing is when we send you an email, instead of a letter, on your billing date, notifying you that your latest bill is ready to view. Your bill will appear in your "My Account", alongside all your previous bills.

Will Paperless Billing cost me anything?

No. Paperless Billing is completely free of charge. It will cost you nothing, other than a few minutes of your time to register for Paperless Billing. Costs for receiving a bill are only charged when requesting to receive a physical paper bill by post.

What are the benefits?

Paperless Billing comes with many benefits! Not only will it save you £2.50 off your bill price, but it will also mean all your bills are stored in one place. It is easily accessible on a PC, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet, meaning if you ever need to check a bill, you can! You will also be helping to reduce carbon emissions by choosing to go to Paperless Billing, helping the environment during the current climate crisis.

Why are we promoting Paperless Billing?

At KCOM, we are aiming to be a Net Zero Company, by the end of 2040. Click here to find out more. This will help us reach our goal of being Net Zero by reducing our paper consumption, whilst also benefiting our customers with an easy access system to keep up to date with their KCOM account. We would like our customers experience to be smooth and simple, receiving your bills via email ready and prepared is a key example of this!

Why are we increasing our Paper Bill price?

When we launched our broadband services 30 years ago, paper bills were the only option available. Of course, times change and most people now prefer to receive their bills online, which is easier, quicker and better for the environment.

However, we appreciate that a small number of people may still want to receive a paper bill, which we will be able to provide going forward, for £2.50 per bill.

We understand price increases are never welcome, but our paper bill charge is still less than BT, who charge £3 per month, despite the increased cost of raw materials and postage. You can avoid this cost entirely by moving to Paperless Billing.
